Vintage Sewing Notions

Thank you all so kindly for not pointing out the fact that the 25th is not indeed next week but the following week. :) Lol! That's if you even noticed that I had said that (in a post below about moving). You all know where my mind is these days! For some reason, out of the blue, yesterday it hit me that the 25th is in two weeks. :)

I had an enjoyable day yesterday, sorting through all of my vintage sewing supplies in preparatioin to move. Rick-rack, bias-tape, buttons, thread, lace (I love vintage crocheted lace like the stuff pictured above on the linen.), material and ribbon. I so wish I had loads more in the material and ribbon dept. but I have a little start. That's what garage sailing is for! I have a bunch of scraps that fill up about half of a plastic bin. I want more florals especially with roses because I only have a couple.

I also have two vintage wooden sock darners (pictured above) that I'm thinking of putting up for auction when I start Ebay. I bought them at the Curdy Rd. sale, this year. I'm not a huge fan of black, I prefer brown in almost everything. I bought them with the intent of auctioning them. (Shrug). But who knows? I might not be doing Ebay until fall sometime. And I might change my mind by then... :)

For now, I'm dreaming of a place to line everything up and look at it. And maybe do a project or two. ;)
