Knit Cupcakes!

You've got to check this out! This lady made the coolest cupcakes I've ever seen. Knit Cupcakes. There are tutorials for anyone wanting to try their hand at "knitting" marzipan. Aren't they beautiful?! Yes, these are real AND edible!

Neat. and what a lovely thing to do for her friend.

I prefer the other recipes, though. :-)

The point is, you eat them! :) And the other point is, they're cool!

She made them for Knit Night. Sounds like she and her friends get together to knit...

wait jen.. did you make those?

LOL!!! :) No, I didn't MAKE THEM. Lol. :) They are on someone else's blog (the link is underneath the cupcakes).

And yeah, that's Marzipan, not frosting. :) I don't know how to explain that one to you - it's sort of like an edible clay (but it's not clay) and it has an almond flavor to it. :)

I forwarded the link to my sister Beth. She loves to knit and loves being Martha Stewart..something fun for her to try.

I wonder if Laura L.'s seen them? I don't have her email, otherwise I'd forward it. :)

I know there are so many of you out there who love to knit - just thought you'd enjoy looking at them. I sure do and I don't even knit! :)

Jen, It was fun to see you on Sunday. These cupcakes look so cool, but if I did it, I would have a very hard time eatting them because it looks like it took an incredibly long time to make. Btw, marzipan is almond paste, which not everyone likes. I love it, myself!

I wanted to let you know that song you had in your head, Keep 'Em Seperated in really called Come Out and Play by Offspring. Now, it's stuck in my head, THANKS! :) I think it came out around '94...

(Angie) LOL! It's funny because I don't even know all the words. Thanks (for the title & artist), I wish I had more of a knack for song titles and artists. I love music and a wide range of it, but so many times, I have no clue who the actual singer is. :) Now I totally recognize "Offspring" but I'm going to have to go on-line to see what else they sing!

It was nice to see you too! And I would have to freeze these cupcakes under a glass dome or something because I wouldn't be able to eat them either!!

Angie - can I admit on a public forum that I love Offspring? Lol! I'm a mom, I'm suppose to not like that stuff. :) I was having a mind-blank a minute ago until I went on YouTube and looked them up. It brought it all back. I use to love them! (Although, some of their songs are BAD). :)

And sadly to those who don't, I can admit that I've always loved alternative rock. :)

THOSE ARE THE CUTEST THINGS........I THINK I OUGHT TO TRY THEM IN MY SPARE TIME. SHOOT YOU HAVE TO BE ARTISTIC TO DO DO THEM. MINE WOULD LOOK LIKE BLOBS OF SOMETHING INSTEAD OF DARLING LIKE THOSE. THEN AGAIN IF I EVER PERFECTED SOMETHING LIKE THAT I WOULD HATE FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE A BIG OL BITE OUT OF THEM, THEY WOULD HAVE TO STAY ON DISPLAY SOMEWHERE.
