What were you doing 10 years ago?
I had just moved to Minnesota (the cities) to begin a whole new life. In a whole knew world! First time moving away from home - I left my family (mom/dad and 13 younger siblings) in Michigan and I was very lonesome but having the time of my life!
What were you doing 1 year ago?
The excitement and anticipation was building around the property that we were thinking of purchasing. Although, I had not seen it yet, Mark had already talked to the owner and was making tentative plans to purchase it. And the kids and I were probably heading to the beach. A place, we still need to go, this year! We've been too busy w/ packing.
Five snacks you enjoy:
1. Avocado (cut in half) and Tostitos Flour Tortilla chips to scoop out the fruit. Yum!
2. Ice-cream (anything w/ caramel preferably also w/chocolate) in a sugar/waffle cone
3. Fruit - strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, nectarines
4. Bolthouse Farms Smoothies - C-Boost and Vanilla Chai are my favorites!
5. String Cheese (preferably w/ a smoke-flavor)
Five songs that you know all the lyrics:
1. Within Thy Wings... (One of our church songs).
2. Somebody's Crying by Chris Isaak
3. Racing in the Streets by Emmylou Harris
4. Once You Love by Steve Earle
5. Crazy for this Girl by Evan & Jaron*
(*On a side note: I love this song because it always reminds me of when Mark and I started hanging out. It always brings me straight back! And it's fall music. My favorite season. It gives me all those happy feelings of fall. Mmmm! I can't wait for fall!! Sometimes I wish it could be year-round but I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much. My favorite time of year is from September through the end of December.)
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1. Take a VACATION, on a lake, in a cabin that we own!! Two weeks. At least.
2. Buy all of the windows I want for our house
(I would still want this house that we designed and are building. It's not a huge, fancy house and it's being built on a budget, but it's what we want).
3. Go on a junking shopping spree (vintage everything)! - and I'd buy vintage apron front sinks for my kitchen and bathrooms (It's picture #7, if you double-click on that and fyi this house would be one of my dream homes!)
4. Buy furniture & cream-color slipcovers for my living room
5. Buy vintage iron beds (w/ crackled paint) for my kids
Five bad habits:
1. Internet/blog addict
2. I don't exercise enough.
3. I don't eat healthy enough.
4. I haven't been to the dentist since we were married (and I have cavities to be filled)!
5. Procrastination is my middle name!
Five things you like doing:
1. DREAMING of decorating my house & looking at ideas from magazines & blogs.
2. Cooking and baking (dreaming of a bigger kitchen! ...soon.)
3. Refinishing furniture/home decor
4. Taking pictures (dreaming of taking classes some day)
5. Creating - repurposing junk, salvaging junk, scheming of new things to create with good junk
Five things you would never wear again:
1. Baggy jeans and baggy sweatshirts (baggy anything, for that matter)
2. Jelly shoes
3. Pleated pants
4. Braces
5. Big bows in my hair!!

3. Digital camera (dreaming of my own)
4. Vintage buttons, sewing notions, and material
5. Computer (dreaming of a laptop)!
You're turn!

Seriously sick. Why would anyone wear plastic shoes?! Yet everyone did! :)
