Pointless Thought

Wiper or non wiper?

I just finished packing a few boxes of misc. kitchen stuff that I don't use very often so I thought I'd take a little break. And...because I've been working for a total of 20 minutes out of my whole day ya know! Lol. (I've been on here most of the day, catching up). ;)

A thought just came to me as I was wiping puuro off of Carter's highchair. That was his high-tech supper. Mark has Nikayda and Aapo with him on a house run so, needless to say, I didn't make supper. Toivo (Hans) is with them too. They're getting electrical stuff.

As I was wiping off the highchair, I was remembering a recent conversation I had.

I was discussing our house with a friend and saying how I plan to have a lot of white everywhere. White (cream-color) slipcovers for my chairs, white trim, white decorations. (Think shabby chic). And this person asked me if I thought white was a very practical color for kids. Good question!

For me, it is. I know it's not for everyone. I told her that I always wipe my kitchen chairs and my highchair down after every meal and that they're both cream and white. And she chuckled and said, "So, you're a wiper! I'm not."

So now as I was wiping down the highchair the thought came to me that there are wipers and there are non wipers! Now, I can understand why so many people think I'm crazy to want to have white everywhere! Lol!! :)

I think that in a lot of cases, white is a very practical color. You can throw it in the wash with bleach and voila.

It is not, however, for me. I like black (think modern, minimalism), but I had to give it up when I got the pup.

White also appeals to me because I can add bright patches of color with pillows and pictures and stuff.
