Picture Practice

(Say that five times fast!)

Coffee and Country Home. Nuff said. :)

I was doing a little practicing and critiquing - and trying to show every angle of the gorgeous mug(s) that Christi gave me!

Top two pictures - I don't like the light (in the shape of the window, falling on the table/magazine) or the curve of the table or the wall in the background. Too much complication. I was going for a more simple background w/o the space to do it. :)

And the bottom picture - not happy with the lighting (again coming through the window). I would've been happier if it were more filtered and not so bright up near the top. Nor did I realize that I captured my fingers (in the coffee)! Lol. Ah well. I'm practicing... :) And it was still fun. I took a ton of shots.

I'm trying to practice with composition and I'd like to learn more about lighting and lenses...and cameras. :)

And, btw, the table so well-worn with love, is from Grandma & Grandpa Heinonen's house. Gordon made it. My mom and dad had it refinished years ago. Some may say it needs to be again but I say it's just about perfect! ;)

And, how many of you actually tried to say "picture practice" five times fast?
