'Bout That Time

It's that time of year again!

Graduation time.

Time to reflect on all that has happened and gone by in the past 12...13 years of your life.

Eeeeerrrrrttttt!

Just the seniors get to do that! I suppose you can do that too, but then it might make you start to feel old. ;) My sister-in-law Emily is graduating tonight and her party is afterward at Dave & Shirley's. Her commencement is at 7:30 - so she said it wouldn't start 'til late. But I figure...oh...'bout 20 kids...shouldn't take that long. Unless they all decide to give a speech! (There's actually more like 85 graduates - about 7 or 8 are church kids. Funny thing is - most of them have some Finn in them! Crazy.)

She's heading off to Alaska on Monday along with a handful of other church kyds. (There are a few up there already). Nick's going too. She dates Nick Skoog. (Russell & Lolly's). They'll be up there for the summer working with those fishing boats. (P. Torola had a picture of his grandsons on one of the fishing boats - same place these guys are going - they'll be meeting up with them). Emily said the girls all cook for the guys and make their lunches and stuff. Mark said Alaska's beautiful (he was there before we started dating)! I've never had much of an itch to go there - what with the cold and all - but he says the summers are pretty up there.

Today is Matt & Emy's fifth anniversary. Jon & Sara's 6th is tomorrow!

You know, I have never really had a desire to go to Alaska either, but everytime I tell someone, they are like, why not? I say, I would rather go shopping in NYC then spend my hard earned money going to a place that is just like the UP only BIGGER and more REMOTE...ICK!

We went on our honeymoon to Alaska and it was so beautiful! I'd definitely recommend it. It was the end of May and it was perfect weather our whole trip (a week).
