Evening Walk

After my haircut (see below), Mark took Nikayda and Aapo with him to work on our house. So the little dude and I walked to the lake. More like, I walked to the lake and he took a ride in the stroller. I picked up a wrap for supper and ate by the water. It was beautiful outside! Absolutely beautiful! Then I took out the camera and shot a bunch of pictures of Carter...until the battery died and the card was full.

It always feels so peaceful by the water. I love it. There is nothing like it. But I'll admit, it would've been more relaxing by myself. This kid doesn't sit still for more than two seconds at a time. I always think I should take time when Mark's around (when is that?!) and take a magazine (my version of a book) and go sit by the lake. Someday...

On our way back from the lake we crossed paths with Gretchen, Rena, Addie and Maren. Gretch had them all ready for bed and was taking them out for a little bike ride. It's so nice to live in town for that convenience. And I love running into people I know! I'm going to miss that! At least, we'll only live five minutes out.

I don't think I've ever gotten to lay on the beach since I got Atlas. Not that I would lay out anymore (hah - I couldn't anyway, I am usually bundled up, even in summer), but I'd like to actually sit still for once. He plays the entire time - and wants me to play with him. Oh wait - once he laid down for 5 minutes. And we were there for over 8 hours that day.

But Aapo will get there eventually. :-)

I don't like to lay out either. I get too bored. I don't like just laying there - doing nothing. And I always feel like it's hard to read in the bright sun. I enjoy the beach though when there's stuff to do. Or when other people are there and I can visit. We need to get there one of these days! (To our local beach). We are all in desperate need of a little healthy glow. :)

The chubby little feet in the sandals is adorable.
If you haven't come across this camera site yet, the helpful guy at BestBuy told me about it.
It's a digital camera site where you can read reviews on all cameras PLUS compare the differences between them. It was very helpful to me. The site is:
www.dpreview.com

oh yes - dpreview is an excellent site - both for learning in general as well as camera comparisons. You will learn more than you ever wanted to know about your prospective camera. :-)
