A special thank you to all those who were so thoughtful and gave a monetary gift for my birthday! I really appreciated it!
I went junking at SuLaine's Antique Mall in Detroit Lakes, this weekend! Found two, very cute, little medicine cabinets. Both have crackled, cream-color paint and mirrors on the front. They are very similar looking but one is a tad-bit smaller than the other. I'm on a hunt now to find little glass knobs for them.
I also picked up an old kitchen table. I'm going to use it in my project studio. Most of the paint is missing but what's left is a really cool blue color (haven't decided if I'll just leave it and clear-coat it or if I'll match the paint and completely re-coat it.) It has a white enamelware top.
AaaAaand a wooden hamper that's pale green (think retro) with pink flowers painted on it. It's old and I saw it last year. I'm singing because it was one of those items that I walked away from because it was over 20 bucks and I was going to keep hunting. Well, it happened to be one of those few items that I've *regretted* walking away from.
As soon as I got home, it kept nagging at me that I should have bought it because I loved it! This was last fall, in the meantime, I had gotten over it...moved on...and forgotten about it. Then I saw it again this weekend, looked at the tag and still hesitated...I wasn't ready to spend that much on it. I just knew it could have a better price.
In comes Nikayda,"Mommy, what's that paper?" She's pointing to a small piece of purple paper at the bottom of the hamper. I pick it up, drum roll please....it was on sale for 10 dollars!!!
SOLD!
So, thank you all very much. I'm really excited about my vintage hamper, table and two medicine cabinets. I will treasure them always! (I unloaded them at our new house so I haven't taken any pictures yet.)
