I Sweat

I sweat.

I sweat like a man.

I may be a girly-girl but I sweat like a man.

We had a recent conversation, my mom, my sisters and I, when I was in Michigan (Notice I keep saying Michigan, instead of Detroit? I hate saying Detroit!) about deodorant and sweat. Seems there isn't much out there that actually stops sweat.

When I was a young girl and needed deodorant for the first time, my mom had me try a product called Ban. Now. You'd think with a name like Ban, it would not only destroy odor but completely inhibit the total development of sweat and prevent it from entering the United States altogether!

Not so.
Not for me.

I am a sweat-hog. (Let's keep in mind here, that I am a very girly-girl. I am prissy. I am a city-slicker. I like cute things, frilly things, girly things.) So. Over the years, I'd tried every kind of deodorant out there. I still sweat.

It was not pretty.
It was not cute.
It was sweat.

Then one day, several but not too many years ago. I tried men's deodorant. Men's Mitchum Clear Gel, to be exact.

It worked! I still sweat but at least it no longer stank. (Either that, or my nose quit workin'.) To top it off, I recently tried the Women's Mitchum Clear Gel and it worked too! So, now I'm feeling all girly again.

But I have to secretly admit....

I like the smell of the Men's better. :)

(Oh yeah! This would be one of my favorite things. The deodorant, that is. Not the sweat.)

you know what, I think I'm going to try that deoderant. I don't know if I just noticed it or if it's because I'm outside being active every day at work but I have permanent stink in my pits...it's embarassing, I'm afraid to lift my arm!
