Spring is in the Air

Aaaaah! The longer days of spring have finally arrived. Or so it seems now that the sun is shining. It's been so dreary and cold here, lately, that one would feel the winter months were still upon us. It was beautiful and sunny here today. The temp. even hit 50. Nice change considering it's barely made it out of the 30's in the past week.

Holly Grangroth's bridal shower is this evening in Cokato. She and Josh Limonen are getting married in June. I really wanted to make it but I'll be sticking around here. It's so-close but so-far...3 hours. Vanessa and Stephanie went but they're staying at their mom & dad's. I thought about going just for the evening. I've done it before, but I don't do so well without sleep.

Speaking of "without sleep", Carter's screaming his head off in the kid's room. The other two are jumping around on their beds like hooligans and laughing. The dear-sweet-little-tiny-newborn-boy of mine did not take a nap today. The first time in his whole 18 months of life. I was very proud of him, as he's been bawling ALL afternoon.

I tried putting him for a nap, after lunch. [Now he's screaming and pulling at my leg.] He played, in his crib for over an hour this afternoon. Just giggling and babbling to himself. It was really cute but when he never fell asleep, the cuteness of it all sort of dissipated. I'm hoping he'll make it another two hours - at least until 7 o'clock.

I just got up this morning (Fri.) and the sun is so bright, shining through the living room, that it almost hurts my eyes and I can only squint. Doesn't help that I have a bad cold either. :) But I'm so glad for this sunshine, finally!

And yeah, I've given up trying to be inconspicuous with names and towns! Everyone else mentions them, so what the heck! It's so much easier just writing them. Because the people who are reading my blog will know who and what I'm actually talking about. :)
