Sometimes on this earlthy journey, we feel that our burdens are too much and our cross is too heavy. It is then that we are reminded that life is not in our hands. When the unthinkable happens, we turn to God and it is such a reminder for each and every one of us that this life is merely a temporal one. No matter how painful life may be, we always must remember that God has a hand in everything.
Sometimes our faith is so weak and we stumble so often on the way. It is in our darkest hour, that we find that God is there and He will carry us. He will give us the strength we need. Our hearts feel so heavy with our earthly pain but how blessed we are to believe our sins forgiven in Jesus name and precious blood. It is the one thing that can bring us comfort during our painful moments.
Each one of us carries our own burdens and trials on this journey and how often we feel that we carry them alone. And yet, we are never alone. God is always with us and we are blessed to have so many brothers and sisters in faith.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary and each one of Pam and Gary's kids and their spouses during this most difficult time. So often, I find myself thinking of those who have lost loved ones, recently and in the past, and I think how often I fail at letting them know they are in my thoughts and prayers.
This is a reminder for each of us, how quickly life can be taken away. How temporal this earthly journey is. And how often we take everything for granted - even our own precious faith. The shock will soon wear off, the earlthy pain will eventually dim. Only through the grace of God can any one of us find strength. And only by God's grace will Pam's family, friends and loved ones find comfort. This is a reminder that each of us must carry one another in prayer. And how truly blessed we are to have that blessed reassurance of the forgiveness of sins.

I can't tell you how nice it was to go to Gary's house today and see SO MANY Christian friends. I was just telling Jeff that sometimes it takes a death to make us realize just how lucky we are!
yeah, they are so lucky to have so many friends and family here for them. they are pulling through so good, i cannot imagine being able to be so strong when you lose someone like that in your life.
