Well, Paint Me Blue

Paint colors continued...

That title has nothing to do with anything and everything to do with nothing.

Huh?!

Maybe the fumes are getting to me.

And I haven't even opened a can yet.

Ok. After standing on my head, turning the lights on and off, sitting on the roof (the neighbors wore off on me), opening and closing one eye, juggling ten kids (at one time...maybe it was only three...anyway...), holding my breath for ten seconds, standing on one leg and balancing a spoon on my nose (truthfully, I've no idea how I did that last part...I don't know how to do that), I think I've finally figured out which paint colors I'm going with.

Man! That's a lot of work.

But it's all worth it in the end, if you're happy with the colors you choose.

Which I can't be certain that this will be the case. This time.

I mean, I'm preeeeetty sure I want a pale, icy, minty bluish green color with absolutely no grey tone to it. More blue than green. Definitely not the other way around, for the living area and entry way. I chose it because I thought the name was fitting.

Retreat.

See. I know what I'm doing.

Mark's picking it up as we speak type read.

Whatever.

So, here goes nothing!

Oh and I went with a pale, icy, minty greenish blue for the kitchen.

Following?

Trust me. There is a difference albeit very subtle. ;)

And I picked "Caribbean" for the bathroom. Doesn't that sound fun?! Just a few shades darker than the paleness of the rest of the house. I don't want a dark bathroom so I'm sitting here cringing, all the while hoping that it's not too many shades darker and that it will flow with the house. Mark and I thought it would. By the looks of the eighth-of-an-inch paint chips.

We're jumping in head-first. As I mentioned before, we don't take too many precautions with stuff like this. Call it a little reckless, perhaps, but I'm not too worried because the leftover paint can still be used for projects if it doesn't work for the walls. It's still the right tone, if the shades off.

I think I could get use to living in a place, surrounded by colors like "Caribbean" and "Retreat".

I've always wanted a beach house.

Definitely sounds enviting, hopefully it looks that way too!

I was just discussing paints with Sara, Sara, Brita and Anna. It sounds so fun to pick out paint colors until you REALLY look. Then everything looks so ugly. You way over scrutinize all of them! I have changed my hue as of late. I am feeling the browns lately. Like earthy browns and greens. Not that I have a house to paint or anything. But if someone wants me to pick out their colors, just shout.

Lol! :) You could start a business. ;)

I'm really excited about the colors! Nikayda's room, sitting room and kitchen are painted. LOVE THEM. Well... technically, I haven't seen the sitting room yet but I'm sure I'll love it. (Mark painted it last night after we left).
