" ...Down in the boondocks... " (Billy Joe Royal).
The song is playing in my head right now. ...And most of you have no idea what I'm talking about but I love his music. The funny thing is, I could've sworn that I have one of his CD's. But for the life of me, it is nowhere to be found. I searched high and low a while ago in great desperation, trying to find it. Don't you hate that when you're craving certain music, and you can't listen to it?
Although, with the internet it would've been pretty easy to download, I'm sure, but since I'm so computer illiterate (if that isn't a true phrase, it should be), I had no idea where to go other than You Tube. I always look up music there. Does anyone know of a good site for downloading music...? I know some of you know that. :) But I guess the other problem then...would be that I have no idea how to download music to my computer!
(And the funny thing is, the site that I linked from his name has a spot that says "downloads"...maybe I could figure it out...someday. Baaaah! I'm too old. I'd rather just have the CD than go through all the trouble. ;) And, yes, I know once I learn, I'll wonder why I ever bothered with an old thing like a CD).

Jen - there are a ton. I think iTunes, which I am loving, is available even for PCs - and most songs are 99cents. There are also a ton of music download places that only work on PCs (I found this out when I was trying to download a song from Rock Star - oh was I mad). Yahoo Music, I think. Rhapsody, though they might also just be like radio, not individual downloads.
Ok - I just did a search for music downloads .. napster, music.download.com, amazon apparently, ...
Thank you! (Now I'm wondering if any of them are free? I'll have to check them out...) :)
it'll be hard to find one, I think. You can find sites where you can listen perhaps, but not necessarily download. Napster used to be free, until a lot of the artists/music labels/.. fought it. And you can kind of see their point. :-)
Yeah. I can totally see that.
For now, I'm just fine with listening only, anyway. :)
