Aapo was sick with a fever all day, Monday. He lay on the chair all afternoon and evening. This was the only image I captured of Nikayda rubbing his back. I stood there and watched them for a sec before I slowly grabbed my camera and sort of snuck up on them. :) I wasn't sure what they'd do once they spotted me.
Sure enough. She moved away when she heard the 'click-whir' of the camera. :)
One of the sweetest things to a mother's eye is watching a moment like this.

Jen - this photo is fabulous. Really fabulous. Your eye is drawn right to Aapo and to Nikayda's hand on his back and the softness of everything else just adds to the sweetness of the picture. The one thing that might make it slightly better would be if there was less of whatever is in the forefront (which you could do via cropping even) becuase it is somewhat distracting me as I try to figure out what it is.
That's exactly it! I figured I'd soften it a little to draw the eye to Aapo. I wanted to get in closer when I took the actual photo but of course, I knew they'd see me then. ;)
